Apply Nemo has developed two horizontal tie-in systems; Thor tie-in and Modules connection. These designs cover all typical horizontal tie-in applications.

Modules connection is designed for installing/reinstalling modules such as valve modules and pig launchers/receivers onto existing structures. The sytem was used with great success on the large PLEM’s Apply Nemo delivered for the for the 32 inch Tampen link pipeline. Guide posts controls the initial alignment on during landing, and water filled dampers ensure a smooth landing. The system has integrated or external operated pull inn/pull out tools, and the modules slides inside the structure to minimize internal loads when pull in and connection is performed.

Thor tie-in system is a robust tie-in system applicable for all typical horizontal tie-in connections, rigid and flexible lines. The system is independent of connector. The connector system and pipe ends/Hubs are normally Client Provided Items (CPI). However Apply Nemo can provide all items and services if required. The Thor tie-in system is designed with the option to transfer parts of the external moments at the connection point directly to the structure during operation, hence loads on connectors, pipelines and adjacent valves are reduced. These features are unique and Thor is the only tie-in system available offering these benefits.
